Camp Elmore Marine Corps Exchange Store Renovation
This design/build project involved the renovation of a 24,000 square foot Marine Corps Exchange store located at Camp Elmore in Norfolk, VA. The renovations provided upgrades and updates to the interior and exterior of the existing building that included civil, architectural, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
Highlights included construction of 2 interior storage rooms; installed new cooler & freezers; new interior elevator lift; storefront door replacement; roll-up door replacement; warehouse lighting; exterior bollard replacement; all new interior finishes; EcoStone flooring; renovation of 2 restrooms; new 19’ 2-sided LED monument sign; roof repairs; recasting of 2 concrete slabs; repairs to concrete curbs; lightning protection, replacement of 4 rooftop packaged units along with the appropriate modifications to electrical system, ductwork, and piping; new point-of-sale units; food bar, new lighting for the interior and exterior of the building and fuel canopy; replacement of fuel station canopy and new 75kVA transformer.
